Two of my children saw Dr. Havener. My oldest had Phase One braces Her teeth were extremely crowded, and the treatment was somewhat effective, but she would have to have braces again (more cost). Upon reflection, I would not have had two phases of braces, the cost was too expensive and not worth the cost. We eventually went to another orthodontist for Phase Two. My second child had an expander to treat a crossbite. He is autistic/Asperger's Syndrome, and is hyper-sensitive to pain. Once when my child complained about the pain from the expander, Dr. Havener rolled his eyes, and said that he shouldn't have pain. Just a few days later, the expander burst and completely broke apart. The expander could not be fixed, and was replaced. I believe that my child was in pain, and Dr. Havener was just annoyed by my son. The results of the expander were good for my son, he has not had braces. Dr. Havener was extremely kind and bubbly towards my daughter, and impatient and cross with my disabled son. We changed orthodontists because of Dr. Havener's treatment of my son.
