Went to Dr. Tanner's office back in 2000 for my 6mo cleaning. They seemed to have the latest equipment for state-of-the art treatment. I don't know why, but they made me have an initial consultation and then return for a second visit for the cleaning. After consultation, they told me I needed about $6K worth of work on my mouth (root canals, crowns, etc.). I went back for my cleaning (2nd visit charged), but for no other work. I believe the office is a rip-off, as they even send you postcards reminding you to use the remainder allowance $ from your insurance. I've never even heard of this! I have since been going to another dentist for the past 4 years and my current dentist couldn't believe all the work Dr. Tanner was recommending me doing. I hope his practice has changed and is looking out for the patient's best interest, instead of his bank account.
