I originally was very satisfied with Dr. Mark. It was June of last year and our son was going to be getting his braces off. I recommended we get an x-ray to see where his teeth are now and see the roots. Dr. Mark realized my son hadn't had an x-ray since his first appointment. That should not have been the case. After the x-ray he proceeds to tell me that they didn't realize my son still had a whole set of molars that hadn't come in yet. This is basic dentistry. It's not that complicated to count teeth and realize this. Luckily I asked for the x-ray. However, them knowing this from the start would have changed my son's whole course of treatment. They should have put in initial spacers so the teeth my son had stuck in his gums would come down. Then after that happened they could have waited for his last molars to come in and then put on his braces. My sons molars have just now come in these last few months. He has had braces on his teeth for almost 3 years. Most of this time has been unnecessary. In fact I would almost believe that if he had the spacers put in to allow his teeth to drop he may not have even needed braces. It is very discouraging to see him have to deal with this.
