My son had braces applied- our ins plan changed halfway through treatment- the billing lady was rude and unwilling to work with us regarding the additional 1K out of pocket we had to pay. Info for a secondary insurance was given to her to help defray cost- it took her 4 months to bill them, and she argued that it was "overlooked" and the secondary ins wouldn't pay anyway- she hadn't even called to ask them. Secondary ins would pay 1K as long as they were billed- after they paid about $650 she told us secondary ins wouldn't pay any more and balance was our responsibility. Talked to secondary ins, they said they would still pay $400 but the office needed to keep billing them. I get a letter a week later from the office stating "This is total balance, insurance will not be paying any more". She didn't even check, and she lied about it. LAZY! I think Dr. Ziegler should have an accounting of all of his records- it seems like she's double billing people, or not billing at all, causing the consumer to pay for what ins should cover. Don't trust them. On the brighter side, my son's teeth look great!
