I have had some very crooked teeth since I was a child but I was in my 30s when my dentist told me I needed to have them fixed or risk tooth/gum disease. I went to several orthodontists in the area for treatment estimates. Some required up front exam fees, not Dr. Monroe. Some had radical treatment plans involving several tooth extractions, Dr Monroe suggested the most conservative plan, retaining as many of my original teeth as possible. Some of the orthodontists went into high pressure sales mode after the exam, pressuring for an immediate down payment. Not Dr Monroe. He was also very flexible with his payment options so that I could get the maximum benefits from my dental insurance. Some of the other orthos I visited were clearly not used to treating adults. They told me about the tokens I could earn each visit if I was a good boy and then I could trade them in for toys! Dr Monroe treated me as an adult and understood that my motivation for following instructions was the 1000's dollars I was spending. He was very flexible, adjusting treatment as necessary and finding a way to be successful without requiring me to wear head gear during the daytime as other orthos wanted. Very professional, excellent results!
