My child had orthodenture work done by Dr. Forwood. My child's teeth began to shift even though he wore his retainer as directed. When we spoke to Dr. Forwood about it, he said my child was a tongue thruster and that his teeth would shift and that I have to get over it and accept that his teeth will shift. This is after paying $5500 for braces.Tongue thrusting was never mentioned in the treatment outline. I have heard that other patients at his office had been given a special appliance to correct tongue thrusting. The oral surgeon who removed my child's wisdom teeth also told us that Dr. Forwood should have used the appliance. $5500 dollars down the drain. Find someone who guarantees his work. I would not recomment him. My child was never treated nicely by Dr. Forwood.
