I can't really review this orthodontist on her work...but I can say that my daughter needed braces and I went to Dr. Meader to discuss whether or not she would be eligible for state assistance since her teeth were so crowded...Dr. Meader told me that she would not qualify and when I asked if I should get a second opinion was told that she wasn't even close to qualifying. We scheduled the braces and discussed payment. When I went to my daughters dentist to get last minute work before we put the braces on, the dentist told me my daughter WAS probably eligible and that Dr. Meader didn't accept payment through the state therefore she may not have really checked. They sent me to another orthodontist and my daughter was eventually approved for the state to pay. If I hadn't had a second opinion, I would have spent $6,000 with Dr. Meader that my medical coupon should have covered. If you are wondering if your child's bite is bad enough for there to be medical reasons they need braces and are wondering if your insurance might pay...I suggest you go to a different orthodontist to find out.
