After seeing Dr. Smith with my two daughters for 3 years, our insurance provider changed. I called Dr. Smith's office and was told that he was a PPO provider and that all of my daughters dental work coverage should continue in the same manner. Never once was I told that he was a "premier" dentist and I would be billed the difference between what my insurance pays and the amount he charges for each service. So.2 exams and two fillings later, I was billed $500. They use a company based out of Texas for all of their insurance billing and I cannot say enough bad things about this company either. The woman that I have been dealing with is rude and insulting. They never return phone calls or emails for weeks and when I asked her for more detailed information such as why Dr. Smith charged $300.00 for a composite filling and my Blue Cross insurance pays for fillings but this is considered more of a cosmetic choice so they paid $20.00.... I was told, "can't you read a statement?" Having said all of this.. I have requested to speak to Dr. Smith multiple times and he has never returned a phone call. His staff pushes all of my concerns to the management company so they don't have to deal with their patients. They are rude and heartless.
