Very good pediatric dentist. Office staff and biling staff are a big problem. The heavy-set lady running the front desk and answering the phones is very lazy. Unfortunately, she is responsible for reconciling patient bills against payments from insurance companies (i.e., Delta Dental). If billing personnel mis-code or mis-bill the insurance company, and as a result the Dr. is paid less than should have been the case, the office staff do not identify the problem because they do not perform a reconciliation. Consequently, the office just keeps billing the patient for the difference, even though the explanation of benefits from the insurance company states that the patient has no further financial responsibility. This is just pure laziness on the part of office staff, sometimes results in overpayments by patients, and is unacceptable.
I have had to correct 2 such problems for the office staff by making personal calls to Delta Dental to clear up the office staff's mistakes. The heavy-set receptionist has been just plain rude and unprofessional, once telling me she could recommend a different dentist if I did not like their billing practices. This is unfortunate, because Dr. Brostoff is a quality dentist, just has bad help.
