When my older daughter was a toddler, we first took her to THE fancy dentist in Palo Alto. He wanted to give her general anesthesia and do extensive work on her for a mild case of baby bottle caries. We then took her to Dr. Mednick for a 2nd opinion. He told us over the phone (yes, he took the time to talk to us on the phone) that he might have to do the same thing, but to bring her in. When he looked in her mouth, he laughed and said that there was no way she needed general anesthesia and that it could be taken care of very simply. We have been going to him ever since and think he is wonderful! His staff is kind and gentle and he is a lovely man in addition to being an excellent dentist. I just wish he took adult patients too as I would love to have him as my dentist!
