I was referred to Dr. Kennedy by my dentist. I have really bad receding gum line and extreme sensitivity to both hot and cold.
Instead of quickly jumping to surgery, Dr. Kennedy is the first peridontists I have met who is trying alternative methods to relieve the sensitivity I have and he has also discovered that my receding gum line is due to TMJ. I have been back to him several times and he is still not jumping to surgery like past peridontists have suggested. Besides, I have already had the surgery before back in '94 and it did not work because no one diagnosed the TMJ. He is also the first peridontists I have found that is willing to help resolve the issue instead of a quick fix.
Since I am a Benefits Administrator, I have no fear of referring him to the employees when asked. He's and his staff are both caring and great! He is the first dental professional who I feel that is not going after your pocket and is in this profession becasue he truely cares about his patients.
