What a fabulous pediatric dentist! Dr. Lochary has been my son's dentist since age 3, and he has never been afraid of going to the dentist! Unlike other area dentists, they had no problem letting me go back with my son on his first visit, but from then on, my son was fine to go back by himself. They have one large treatment area, so I don't worry about abusive or callous treatment, and the kids are given cool sunglasses to wear so the lights don't hurt their eyes. After they're treated, the kids get to play video games while Dr. Lochary talks to the parents about how things went at the exam. The hygienists and office staff are super friendly, and the waiting room is large, clean, and pleasant to wait in. Stocked with an ample supply of magazines (grown-up and kid magazines) and fun toys, the wait - always short - seems to go by quickly. I can't remember a single time when we were made to wait more than 10 minutes or so past an appointment time.
The prices are within $2 for a total "regular" visit of what my stingy insurance pays, so I think their prices for treatment are quite competitive.
I can't imagine being happier about a dentist! I wonder if she treats adults...
