I have taken all five of my children to Dr. Rudnick (she also goes by "Dr. Minda" to her little patients). She is a dentist and also a mom which I think helps her relate to the kids and the parents. She has no problem telling a parent to sit with the child and calm them when needed but she also freely tells a parent that the child will be just fine without them and perhaps the parent can wait in the lobby. The best line she has is that when a child needs a tooth pulled, she always says that they will "wiggle it to see if it is loose" and never says they are going to "pull it out".
She works very hard to involve the child in their tooth care with props like a mirror or letting them hold the brush.
Her office staff is very accomodating and we have yet to have a billing problem.
