Well, I wish I could give a better review for Dr. Comfortes. Let me preface this by saying this review really reflects his office staff more so than the work he does.
Me and my whole family have been patients of Dr. Comfortes for probably over 20 years. I've noticed that within the last year or two his office staff have become not the most pleasant to deal with and have made errors that have costed me money. Specifically, I went in to have 2 cavities filled and some other work done. I asked the office staff, prior to service, whether my insurance covered the treatment, whether it would all be taken care of, etc. and they said "yep, you're all good." In fact, the receptionist took my new insurance card to verify with my insurance, presumably, that it would.
Then comes the explanation of benefits and to my surprise, it did not cover everything. In fact, I had a balance of over $700 out of pocket. The insurance company stated that he was not in network and that "his fees were far higher than what the plan allows for dentists in the area."
Upon trying to resolve this with his staff, I had people not call me back, months go by without getting a response, and when I spoke to Ade at his office (whom I've never dealt with befo
