Turning a child away.
Dr. witte should be ashamed of himself. Recently I took my 4 yro brother to see Dr. witte for an exam and cleaning. Like every other child under 5, he was apprehensive. ie...he cried. (there was no biting, screaming, kicking, just simply crying) Do to my brothers apprehension, his teeth were barely looked at and he was denied a cleaning. Dr. witte showed no sympathy or nurturing towards the apprehensive 4 yro, nor did he allow me to try and comfort him in any way. To top it all off, we were expected to pay the full amount of the incomplete exam and cleaning. His explanation for denying a 4 yro the needed service, was that "he didn't behave to his standards". (those standards were never disclosed). My advise to Dr. witte is that he should not advertise himself as a pediatric dentist and he needs to post a sign letting patients know that if you do not meet his standards then you will be expected to pay, and you will be denied service.
