My son was seen in Dr Sear's office for a baby root canal. Knowing our insurance is out of network at the office, I questioned the receptionist multiple times about the price we were paying for the procedure. I was told repeatedly that the price I paid at that visit was a very close estimation, and I should not expect to pay more after billing. However, we received a bill for over $200, in addition to the $300 I had paid on the day of the service. Our insurance paid nearly $500. I felt overcharged and misled. The office was completely unsympathetic, even rude when we called to resolve the situation.
In addition, the office is unprofessional and unsafe. We happened to visit close to Halloween. The staff and doctor were dressed in western and speaking with a drawl. I thought it was fun/funny, until I noticed opened whiskey bottles and shot glasses on the low check-out counter. Dr Sears even offered a shot to a mother in the waiting room. It's just not appropriate to have alcohol in a pediatric office, let alone open and on the counter. Dr Sears also shot my 6-year-old several times with an authentic-looking cap gun. I didn't know about that until we left the office.
Not recommended.
