I saw Dr Grimm for treatment for gum disease, including root planing. She was courteous and the procedures she did were relatively pain-free. I believe that what she did was done skillfully.
Unfortunately, Dr. Grimm's charges were (in my view) exceedingly high, and her diagnosis and recommended treatment would have involved surgery and costs later deemed unnecessary by a more expert periodontist with better credentials. Dr. Grimm said that, even with the surgery she recommended, the chances of keeping my teeth over the long term (10 years) were not good. The expert I later saw said that major surgery was unnecessary and that I would likely keep almost all of my teeth. Based on my observations of her skills and her billings, I would not recommend Dr. Grimm to anyone contemplating major dental work. For minor procedures that you know are necessary, she should be fine if you are willing to pay the freight.
