My regular dentist Dr. Roger Koppel in Berkeley detected a gum separation from tooth #19 (large lower left, rear) and after his probing seemed to need a root canal as it was sensitive to heat.. I was sent tto Dr. Lodberg to see if the tooth could be saved or else a dental implant. On the day I was scheduled to have the implant process started, Dr, Lodberg changed the strategy, scraped down the root, put in a filler and some stitches. As a result, I had gum regeneration and the tooth was saved!! I also have to point out to all that are uneasy at the dentist, that Dr. Lodberg is not into causing pain. I was given as many injections as I wanted and time for them to kick in. I was prescribed a few pills to relax the anxiety before the procedure and was provided with pain killers and anti-biotics days before the procedure started, so I was ready for a pleasnt office experience. She is very good on drug dosing. Not too much, but enough to provide comfort and fast healing. It does not get any better than this. Nitrous Oxide gas may have been nice too, but I hear there are some risks with it.
