There were two dentists - father and son - the son did my implant. The implant was properly placed and I have had no problem with it. I did, however, have a problem with the dentist's unprofessional behavior during the procedure. I was in a twilight state so I was not unconscious. When he put the implant in, I was unable to close my jaw all the way. He made several unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem and he was clearly upset. Time was passing and he was getting frustrated and was rude to his assistant. I could also feel his impatience as he worked on my mouth and that gave me anxiety. He seemed to think I was unconscious. To solve the problem he drilled the implant down and planed the tooth above it. On my follow up visit I asked him if he drilled a good tooth and he gave me some nonsense story. Dentist had a good bedside manner - until something went wrong. Hopefully he learned from that but there were no consequences, so introspection is doubtful. Beware. Staff was nice, but it took them 9 months to get pre-approval from my insurance. I had a missing tooth and my other teeth started to shift. I spoke with my insurance and they told me it was submitted incorrectly more than once. This was a few years ago but no less valid.
