When I looked for a dentist for my I daughter, then age 2, I was thought that I should go with a pediatric dentist who was used to dealing with children instead of a 'regular' dentist who might not have all that much experience with calming a child. I looked at reviews of dentists and was appalled at some of the experiences I read about.
I picked Dr. Dixon because of their web site, pediatric specilization, and his taking my dental insurance (blue cross PPO). I could not be a happier parent. The doctor is great with kids and the visits are quick (fairly on time) with the result that my daugher looks forward to the visits and likes taking care of her teeth. (not a single cavity yet.)
The office is large with a constant stream of patients, but it is extremely well organized with a flow that keeps you moving instead of waiting. The only slightly negative item is that the office will try to get you to come every 3 months instead of every 6 months. I don't believe in that , but others might.
I've recommended the dentist to a co-worker with a 6 year old son and they love going here also.
And yes, I'm a real parent of a patient who gave almost all '4' scores - not the dentist's office.
