I had just moved to Downtown and so looked in the telephone book for a periodontist. I chose the nearest female dentist's name as I feel more comfortable with female doctors. When I called to make the appointment, I learned she was on vacation but her partner, Dr. Greenberg, could work on me. The receptionist told me he was very nice. As the office is very close to home, I said "OK."
As it turns out, I was blessed to have him become my perio. as he has a calming demeanor, a wonderful "bedside manner" if you will. He not only explains the procedures about to be done but he told me how and why I would actually feel better having my less than healthy teeth pulled out. I did cry but he ecouraged me to see the bright side; he did not act irritated or anything. He also has a sense of humor when appropriate.
I think he's great and will recommend him to everyone who needs a periodontist. Or doesn't. :)
