I have had two periodontal surgeries. I had a serious complication after the second one and was seen three more times. I had a lot of bleeding and was sent out of the office the last time still bleeding with no plan. I ended up going to the hospital. No one from the office called me until my follow-up appointment to have the stitches removed. It is the responsibility of any professional to take care of someone and to make sure that they are safe and taken care of. I was dismissed despite my ongoing problem. I would never go back to this office. The doctor seemed angry that I had a complication.
When I returned to have the stitches removed, the assistant did not know which side of my mouth the surgery had been on nor did she know which doctor I had seen. She kept saying it will be okay. I told her I was not interested in reassurance but I needed information. No one asked me about the bleeding and when it stopped. I had bled for 13 hours. I had missed two days of work.
After the surgery, I was told not to talk for 48 hours… No one had told me that and I had to go to work. The staff was really good at the front desk. Also when I saw the sign that they were doing Botox and fillers, I realized it was All about money. bad
