2 implants + bone & gum grafts: To replace a bridge for my 2 front teeth (lost in an accident 30yrs ago)
The root & all bone over #8 was gone; #9 cracked vertically; onset of minor infection along an old root canal in #9; nerve between 8/9 overgrown.
Dr Glover is a perfectionist. His knowledge is extensive & current; his standards exacting. In addition, he's gentle & patient. He counseled me objectively on every risk vs. benefit & spent lots of time with me thoroughly explaining options to inform my decision. We made 2 plans: A) If 9 appeared healthy enough when he opened the site for the graft, he'd postpone extraction & set the implants at intervals to deter the papillae from retracting; or, B) extract 9 now & later set the implants simultaneously. 9 looked ok (his prognosis proved more accurate than another dentist's).
The graft grew so well that no more bone was needed when he set the #8 implant. It looks & feels fine so far--2 weeks. After both procedures, the pain was surprisingly mild. The incisions are nearly invisible. He went the extra mile to fashion a temporary crown instead of the usual less-comfortable, less attractive, removable appliance.
Nice staff; comfortable office; accurate billing, good estimates
