Dr Agnos Bites!
I was a patient for a gum graft - I was not given written instructions for after care, I did not know what to expect beforehand. I called on a Friday with concerns about the awful looks of it - and was treated as if I was seeking pain medication (which I never requested, ever). The graft looked awful and bumpy - I had to pay to have it 'sanded down' by another dentist. Dr Agnos was dismissive of my concerns about the lack of take home instructions and the appearance of the graft which I brought up to him at recheck. The recheck was done by him from the doorway - he was gowned and ?busy?! After going to another dentist he called and said that patients are usally given instructions - but - one of his staff told me they are not given written instructions - that 'we dont' do it that way'. He offered to do what he could for the appearance of the graft - No thanks, I paid to have it redone. Very odd. Would never go back. I was more careful about the new dentist - I emailed him to ask what would happen if I thought something was wrong on a Friday - and was clear about what happened before. It's funny how dentists who aren't worried about delivering bad service will take a patient who's had a bad experience.
