I was referred to Dr Krueger by my regular dentist because of TMJ and nightly jaw clenching / tooth grinding. He repeatedly adjusted a bite guard I had been prescribed by my dentist. He also ground down my teeth during each visit to help them "realign." I am not sure whether I believe that this kind of treatment helps with TMJ or not. Despite repeated questions I didn't feel I got in-depth information on how and why this treatment was supposed to work and how it was any different from the treatment I had received as a child/teenager (tooth realignment via retainer; according to Dr Krueger this often causes TMJ and related issues). I also felt that Dr Krueger pressured me into getting treatments that I didn't want, such as having teeth pulled. During the entire treatment period I never felt that Dr Krueger took me seriously as a person; I felt he saw me as a patient only and I didn't get the impression that he thought my informed consent was necessary for his procedures. I did like his assistants. The receptionist did a great job reminding me of appointments and making me feel welcome. The dental assistant was very good at helping me relax. It is unfortunate that Dr Krueger's arrogant chair-side manners undid all that.
