I was told the cost would be $95 for the exam and $100 for the cleaning.
When I got to the office (45 minutes away) I was told that the exam and cleaning would be done by a different dentist. I was surprised but the office manager told me that she had mentioned that in our phone conversation. (I sure didn't remember that.) I asked to meet Sorenson (I was referred to) but was told he was too "busy."
On my explanation of benefits from the insurance plan, it showed the office charged me $95 for a "limited oral evaluation" which to me it was a full examination. So, my insurance wouldn't cover it. (had the wrong code) When I called to ask that the right code be sent to the insurance company, the manager of the dental office (she's married to Sorenson) said she couldn't change the code because she only charged me $95 instead of $200!! That it was actually a comprehensive exam and she was doing me a favor by charging me $95 because she knew I was "price sensitive." She said she would have to charge me $200 for the exam to change the code.
