Dr. Simmons was the prosthodontist who did the replacement teeth after my daughter had implants done by another doctor. I paid for the proceedure in full. They still look great after 15 years. His cosmetic work was fine.
BUT as for general dentistry, I would never recommend him.
He recommends expensive proceedures that don't work well.
He damaged a tooth that only needed a simple filling and she ended up having to get a crown done by a different dentist.
I think he takes advantage. She had dental insurance at this point. They told her that she would have to pay the charges up front and they would submit the claim for her to get reimbursed. They submitted the claim to the insurance company and kept the money in "her account" without saying anything to her. When she would go back a few days later because of the pain, the receptionist ( his wife) would take the office vist charge out of her account without telling her.
I am bringing this up now because a filling that Dr. Simmons put in her tooth has popped out for about the sixth time. This time it stayed for 6 or 7 years, but a filling should last much longer than that and shouldn't have to be redone that many times!
I would avoid this dentist!
