Dr. Ebbs is nice and puts his patients at ease. He is not overly aggressive and has never recommended treatment that I felt was unnecessary. He will also send you to a specialist if necessary rather than insist on doing work himself that others are more qualified to do.
The big negative is his office policies. His staff has rebooked me with another dentist and didn't even tell me until I was in the chair, had been seen by a hygenist, and someone else walked in the door. In the waiting room I am subjected to a repeating 2 minute video for teeth whitening at such a volume that I can't hope to just sit and enjoy a magazine. Finally, they dropped my insurance and didn't tell me until I called and needed an appointment.
I switched to Dr. Ebbs from another downtown dentist (who also dropped my insurance but at least let me know about it), and my out-of-pocket expenses went up considerably for the same procedure. He also tried to bill my insurance for giving me instructions on brushing, which barely even registered with me at the time.
