I went to Dr. Kaimakis 's office for a cleaning. When it's done, he told me that I should replace my old crown if I don't want to have any serious problems later. I took his advice...after all, he is a professional (I was naive, I know). It cost me more than $1,000. But I thought it's worth to pay for my future .
A month later, I was still in pain. What was worse, it became unbearable...I couldn't eat nor sleep. I had to go back to his office. I was happy when he guaranteed my pain would be gone on that very same day. ... until I found out his solution was just to send me to the endodontist for root canal. He said " Unfortunately, it often happens ", even though he didn't mention it before the treatment.
I visited the endodontist to stop this excruciating pain (do I have any other choice?). Instead of root canal treatment, the endodontist adjusted my new crown little bit and told me to come back if it didn't work...and it worked!
I may/may not have serious problem later, like he said. But what makes difference to have horrible pain NOW instead of LATER? I can't trust Dr. Kaimakis and his clinical skills any more. I will NEVER visit his office again.
Btw, his office is fancy and his staff are very friendly and helpful.
About Hygienist: They are all friendly, efficient and professional. I was very happy with the cleaning.
