The staff is all very friendly including the receptionists, dental hygenists and the Dr. himself. My first experience with Dr. Lavacca involved filling in two cavities. I have issues with injections, and following the Novacaine adminstration I began to break in to a cold sweat and came close to passing out. Fortunately, Dr. Lavacca spent the time necessary to get me back up to speed, ensured I was ok with continuing, and completed the procedure. He turned a traditionally painful experience in to a positive and memorable one. My past experience with dentistry has been one of pure procedure (i.e. get in your mouth, get out and move on to the next patient) Dr. Lavacca, however, is willing to spend time getting to know his patient before and after completing any procedure. I would highly recommend his services. As long as I am in Chicago, Dr. Lavacca will be taking care of my teeth!
