I had a serious dental emergency about a week or so ago. The problem is, I have no insurance; and at the time... not one thin dime to pay for even the smallest piece of dental work. I searched and searched online for dentists who could help me and work with me on the billing, but everyone I found basically required immediate payment...
Dr. LaVacca struck me as a kind, caring dentist who really is concerned about the health of his patients. He was willing to forego the standard billing procedure for me because he saw that I needed help. When I sat in the dental chair really thinking about how willing he was to help me, I had to fight back tears of gratitute. I am so thankful to Dr. LaVacca and his assistant Chris for helping me. This experience has made me feel much better about visiting the dentist.
His office is located in a University of Chicago Senior Medical Center - not a fancy designer office, but what the facility might lack in ambiance, the staff more than makes up for in compassion, service, and genuine care for their patients. Everyone in the office is warm and friendly. His assistant Chris is very attentive and personable. This was the best dentist visit that I have ever had.
