Would not recommend. All my questions were answer with one phrase "it is standard practice" with no additional explaination. Based on his recommendation I had a crown put in and in less than 4 months the permenant crown fell off. After going back to have the crown re-attached, the tooth continued to be very uncomfortable. After visiting another DDS, I find that I now have to get a root canal and new crown for the same tooth, because the orginal tooth was ground too close to the root. Not only that according to my new DDS, the crown had been "glued" with a temporary intermediate restorative material.
