Not a dentist I would recommend. I always sensed that Dr. Farahmand was in a hurry, and he seemed irritated when I would ask questions about my treatment that would take any time to answer. While his treatment methods were relatively painless, haste resulted in a botched job the one time I let him fill a tooth--he didn't take enough time to ensure that the bite was correct, leaving me unable to chew for several days until I could get in again to have him finish the job. Worst of all, I question whether all the work he recommends is really necessary. He recommended that I have five crowns put in (at a cost of nearly $1000 each). Second and third opinions from other dentists, however, were that the crowns were unnecessary.
There seems to be a rotating pool of hygienists in the office; some have been wonderfully thorough, pleasant, and skilled at explaining dental procedures, but others have been brief and curt. Kathy at the front desk is very pleasant and efficient.
