I just returned from my last dentist appointment with Dr. Klein.
I found his procedure to be a bit unsanitary as he would leave the treatment room, talk on the phone, do other tasks and not change his gloves before he continued the work in my mouth. Also, he does not let the patient know ahead of time what is going to be done, how much pain there will be, how long the healing will take.
I just got a crown and I think it's good but I also had a cavity filled. He said I may have some pain, when I asked, but he said he couldn't tell me how long the pain would last because it's different for everyone. That may be fair. However, he didn't recommend how to deal with the pain (i.e. advil).
Also, when making an appointment, be sure to clarify the policy on appointment cancellations. There seems to be an inconsistent policy (I needed to cancel and was told a $50 mandatory fee would be imposed - I did not recall being told this ahead of time. I ended up making the appointment and was given a paper with the policy on it and it said "a 'broken appointment' fee may be imposed" - it said nothing of $50 or that it was mandatory.
