I am a physician who was treated by this dentist once, 5 years ago. I had excellent dental insurance, and, in addition, presented to her office with a specific problem (small cavity which needed filling). She did this adequately. However, she also acquired a full set of unnecessary x-rays. She also argued with me that I should get teeth whitening, caps, and other unneeded cosmetic work done "to take advantage of my insurance money." Health care practitioners with this attitude are what is wrong with this country.
To make matters worse, I just today (5 years after I last heard from Dr. Friedman) got a bill from a collections agency. I never received any notice of funds due in the past, and have a credit score of 800. The amount is relatively small, but I am so angry about this ridiculous billing practice that I would rather spend ten times the amount fighting her than pay what I feel is an incorrect and unjst bill.
