My dentist referred me to Dr Morrison for a root canal redo. It also had an abscess. Dr Morrison's two assistants EACH took turns testing each tooth to see if the nerve was live. They ratcheted up the device, said to let them know when I felt something cold. When they touched one tooth, it felt like an electric shock. The pain was so great both arms flew up and out and my body felt like it rose a few inches from the chair. They both laughed and jumped back. They told Dr Morrison which tooth was live and he REPEATED it. HE also jumped back and laughed.
No anesthetic was administered before jabbing the needle in. The block he put in my mouth was much too large and I told them. They refused to change it. And now 5 months later, my jaw on the side he worked on still pops when I close it. I received no follow-up call.
Two weeks later, still in pain, I called the office twice, left a message both times. I never received a return call.
I consulted an oral surgeon who told me that the tooth had a hairline fracture (he sent a letter to the referring dentist stating this) and the tooth would have to be removed. He said I shouldn't have had a root canal redo.
I asked for a refund of the $690. He refunded 1/2
