When I first came to Dr. Chiem, I was a mess. I was going to the UOP Dental School for my dental care (due to my financial issues) and I felt like I was in worse condition after I saw them. To keep the story short, the dental student left me in a temporary bridge that kept falling off and told me that there's nothing she can do to help me.
So when the temporary bridge came off on a day that I had an important interview, I was freaking out. I had no extra money for dental care but had to get this fix. I walked into 450 Sutter, and asked the elevator attendant, who's the best dentist in the building? He recommended me to Dr. Chiem.
Dr. Chiem listened attentively. She took an x-ray, evaluated the situation, and gave me her honest opinion. She told me she can give me a quick fix for the day but that I needed to seek permanent treatment for this area.
She recemented the bridge for me and told me to go get that job, which translated to her not charging me for her time and work.
I was so touched with her kindness and compassion, I think I cried that day. I finally found a dentist who actually has a heart!
Since then, Dr. Chiem continues to impress me. No one else compares in knowledge, clinical skills, or chairside manners!
