went to peter shatz a few years ago for a tooth problem. was told by a dentist friend to see a specialist. too bad i went to shatz. he gave me two options, with the one he was pushing being an implant. later i learned he is (or was) a paid consultant to the implant industry. he started work on me, but luckily I got a 2nd opinion. that dentist provided a 3rd option that shatz never presented at all. not only did i not need an expensive implant, but my tooth was saved and used as the base for a crown. the dentist even said that the work that shatz started on me was malpractice, since he cut away bone when he shouldn't have. stay away... far away... far far away... far far far away... (oh yeah, to add to the insult, he also charged me for a procedure that they made out to be covered by insurance, but wasn't...)
