Dr. Mahoney operates in his "home office" in his backyard. The equipment was out-dated, the facility was highly unsanitary, and the experience was traumatic. Dr. Mahoney recruits his patients in health fairs by "educating" and manipulating with people's fear of mercury poisoning, and presents himself as an authority in mercury filling removal. But his procedure is highly un-refined, and while in his chair I felt like a livestock being worked on by a vet. I was there for a filling replacement, and my tooth hurt with a sharp paint for over 2 months after the replacement. Thank God my tooth has healed over time, but at one point my endotontist thought Dr. Mahoney might have cracked my tooth during the procedure.
About Hygienist: The dental assistants would gather in the yard to smoke between patients, and did not appear to be very technically professional.
