Dr.Rau practices holistic/naturopathic dentistry. He operates out of a small office w/no support staff, hygienist or receptionist. The cost of services seems to reflect the low overhead.
I have seen him for a wide variety of dental needs(he appears to be capable in nearly all areas of dental work): exams, cleaning, dental surgery, creating and implanting a bridge, crowns, filling replacement ...
I appreciate his flexibility, often able to see me the same or next day and ready to perform multiple tasks, depending on the work needed. I also appreciate that he will only advise work to be done if it is necessary or practical.
Occasionally, I've had to request more novacaine. He is an advocate for mercury-free dentistry. I've had two silver fillings replaced so far.
I would recommend Dr. Rau for anyone who favors natural/holistic medicine and is willing to take an active role in caring for their teeth.
