This dentist office doesn't care whether they bill you or the insurance as long as they get their money. Even though they look up your insurance, they won't necassarily tell you if the procedure is being covered or not. In my case I found when the insurance did not cover they wouldn't say anything at all. And according to my insurance company if I had waited one more day the procedure would have been covered. In their response to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau their excuse was that they only tell the customer as a "courtesy". Unfortunately on some days they feel courteous and some days they don't! I don't know about you but I'd rather have a dentist who shows me courtesy at every visit!
