Everything seemed to be fine until time for payment. I was told that they were in network for my insurance provider. I was told I only needed to pay $100 for dental work. Now I am being told I owe nearly another $200 and that I am mistaken about being told that they are in network. "I have been doing this for twenty years" was the response when questioned about this. Sorry Miss Holier than thou, you made a mistake, evidenced by by call this morning asking the lady that answered the phone if Dr Bass was in network... I got a "yes"... Hmm... As a customer I have no idea who does what in the office. if the lady answering the phone is going to answer questions about insurance, perhaps she should be more knowledgeable about the subject. The first question I asked each of the 4 dentists I called was are you in network. I know this because I know I cant afford to go to a dentist outside of network. So if she told me yes, why would there be a need to ask a second person if you are in network?? Another thing, while we are on the subject. I made it abundantly clear that I could not afford to pay more than $100. If you know you are out of network, why, after 20 years does that not ring a bell??
