I've been an asst. for 26 yrs. I had to take my 4 yr old grandson I for fillings. the chair side manner for Dr. Redwine was dry, yet irritating. her greeting to myself as well as my grandson was cold. she displayed irritability. my grandson was treated aggressively, strapped down and treatment forced. While crying and on nitrous , she removed it and covered his mouth with nose piece, then left room stating that she would return when he calms down. When she returned anesthesia was not administered slowly, she emptied carpule rapidly, which we all know burns. a matrix was forced down on his gums which bleed and he felt, he cried more when she pressed against it. She never tried to comfort or console my grandson. I myself should have stopped treatment , but knowing work needed to be done and having him on nitrous and strapped down I just wanted it over. At what point does a dentist stop. In my field we see adults traumatized from treatment such as this. my grandson cried for a few hrs from this treatment.
After my grandsons mother called to complain and question, the office manager defended. Dr. Redwine when she wasn't in the room. Any good dentist would call themselves to at least address the issue if their patient mattered.
