Dr. Shen doesn't speak english so his assistants have to translate questions you have. The entire office told me that composite fillings are horrible and they only do the amalgam fillings. When he did give me a composite filling after I insisted, I learned after reading up on the procedure that he did not follow it correctly. I later found out that if a dentist is against doing composites it is usually becaus they do not have the proper training. The staff acted insulted when I asked lots of questions about why they thought amalgam is better and brought up contradictory information that I had read. They basically told me that if I wanted composites I needed to find another dentist. They're cheap, but basically the health of your teeth isn't worth it.
I will mention that I have heard he's great at removing wisdom teeth w/out having patients go under anesthesia. But I frankly do not trust him any longer.
