Dr. Juel was a new dentist for our family for cleaning and checkup. He sold me on teeth whitening for my 18 year old son. The treatment was painful for my son, both during and for several hours afterward. There was a small change in color but not what Dr. J said would happen. I called the office after the treatment and while my son was still in pain, to tell Dr. J that my son was not happy with the treatment because it hurt and the change was not significant; I had not yet seen my son as I was at work. I said that I would check out the situation myself but would definitely call him back if the whitening had not worked as he said it would. It definitely had not and I called Dr. J to tell him I was dissatisfied with the results. We did not expect a bright white "Hollywood" smile, but for $350 we did expect a significant change, more than what a box or two of white strips could produce at a cost of $300 less. After Dr. Juel talked me in circles, I said I expected either a refund or a redo, if it would not hurt my son. He flatly refused to do either, did not ask to see the results, would not even offer a partial refund or explanation other than "I tried my best". Totally unsatisfactory; we are no longer patients and feel ripped off.
