Recently I went to Dr. Feldman to have an abscess drained. One of my fillings had deteriorated, and I needed a root canal. But before I could get the root canal I needed the swelling and infection to subside. I had been on antibiotics for several days, which my general dentist told me would get rid of the infection. But it wasn't going away. I realized I needed to get the abscess drained.
Dr. Feldman was professional, skilled, reassuring, cheerful, friendly, and caring. Exactly what I was hoping for. She examined me, took a radiograph, assured me that she sees these frequently, numbed me up with novocaine, and then made the incision. She sent me home with a gel pack and lots of extra gauze. She explained exactly what she was doing, gave me a very good idea of what to expect (drainage, maybe fever), and clear instructions. All in 30 minutes. Later that night she called to check on me. A few days later I had my root canal.
Basically, she handled the problem well, answered all my questions, and made me feel taken care of. That's so important when one has a dental problem! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
(I know I've only been to see her once, but one doesn't usually have repeat visits with an oral surgeon.
