Dr. Chang is an excellent dentist--his office is clean and comfortable, employees helpful and friendly, and dental technology quite advanced (digital x-rays which lessens exposure to radiation AND are less bulky and painful in your mouth). I had problems with recessed gums and dental sensitivity, but his hygenists (there are several to choose from) apply appropriate topicals to solve the problems. My favorite hygenist so far is Amy--she is very friendly and gentle--you just let her know what you're uncomfortable with and she works around that discomfort. For example, I get really uneasy with the drill during cleanings, so she'd scrape off my plaque manually and save the drilling on difficult areas. She's the best hygenist I've had. As for Dr. Chang, I've had crowns and fillings done by him, and he's very thorough and sensitive to any concerns that I have (either nervousness or dental sensitivity due to deep cavities). He'd take the time to explain things to me if I have questions. There's definitely a personal feel to this office--the staff is awesome and service excellent. The only drawback to this place is that it's not a member of any dental network that I'm aware of, so you do pay more out of pocket.
