Dr. Shyy was my dentist for about ten years (before I had to move.) I've been to him for fillings, extractions, and general cleanings -- and I basically have no complaints. Dr. Shyy was very good at what he did, and was even able to give me fillings without having to administer painkillers, which I've never been able to get from other dentists. I've also never had any problems with his work, and, in my experience, whenever I went to him, things were done right the first time.
In terms of issues unrelated to actual dental work, I never had any problems with insurance, billing, or any of the receptionists. However -- and this is very important -- that English is not the first language of most of the people who work in this office, and being able to speak and understand Mandarin will go a long way. Given this, I'd recommend Dr. Shyy to anyone who's able to speak Mandarin -- otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.
