Dr. Ambarachyan seemed competent, however I was not comfortable with practices employed by his office. It appeared that all they wanted to do was charge for very expensive cleaning procedures. They tried to sell such procedures to both me and my wife. I wife scheduled a cleaning appointment and waited quite a long time to see the doctor. The doctor told her she needed the expensive procedure and should set up a whole series of appointments to have it done. When she told him that she just wanted to have her teeth cleaned, she was told that there wasn't enough time to do it that day, even though she had made the appointment to have her teeth cleaned.
I had a root canal and felt I was overcharged. I showed the office administrator my schedule of benefits from my insurance company and was told that they had to do work that was not covered. An example was removing my old crown. I was charged about $100.00 to remove the old crown, even though it popped right out. The dentist spent less than 30 seconds removing it. I had the procedure done 18 months ago and I am still having pain in the tooth.
