Dr. Burgess is friendly, warm and caring, and he or his associate have responded quickly to any emergency we've had. He has also referred us to very good specialists when necessary. HIs downside is sort of the flip side of his upside -- sometimes he seems to have emphasized keeping the cost of his services down, over giving us he best possible care for our teeth (which can be more expensive). This is reflected in both the less than start-of-the-art equipment he uses, and in taking some financially cautious approaches to treating our teeth over medically cautious approaches (again-- less versus more expensive).
His work is above average, his staff and hygienists are excellent. He really excels in choosing good people to work for him.
All in all, I would say he's an excellent choice for a local dentist, but perhaps not for major work.
